About this speaker
Kaye Collins is a longarm educator, quilt pattern designer and owner of Oh Kaye Quilting. She is known for her love of bright colors and high contrast piecing and quilting. Her patterns employ the use of negative space to allow for fun quilting to give the quilt some textured pop.
Kaye has taught all across the United States at many quilt shops and quilt shows, often as a National Educator for Handi Quilter longarms. She has hosted her own longarm quilting retreat and has both live and recorded courses available online in addition to a robust YouTube channel and social media presence. Kaye is excited to be traveling to the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham, England in the summer of 2025 to teach “Applique on the Longarm” and work at Pinhole Quilting’s show stand.
Kaye enjoys helping people explore their creativity by providing a framework and encouraging play. She believes that all humans are inherently creative and that the process of creation is equally, if not more, important to the product.
